Peridot Theatre is delighted to announce that they will again be hosting the Monash One Act Play Festival at the Mt Waverley Unicorn Theatre from 17th - 19th September, 2010.
For many years, Peridot Theatre and many other Melbourne companies have ventured out to be part of the Victorian country One Act Play Festival scene. The wonderful experiences we have had in the past, has inspired us to offer the same opportunities here in Melbourne for both local and country groups.
The Unicorn Theatre which is located at Lechte Road Mt. Waverley is a comfortable theatre seating 200 patrons with great facilities for both audience and participating companies.
The Festival rules will be those outlined by the VDL, but in addition Peridot will provide participating companies with all the necessary information for your Stage Manager as well as assistance in technical use of the bio box. We will provide a general lighting rig that should accommodate all types of performances.
Casts will have access to modern dressing room facilities. There is plenty of parking. There will be a kiosk to provide tea, coffee and wine with a limited selection of food. We anticipate holding a BBQ tea for everybody on the Saturday. The Director of each play will be provided with 2 tickets to their section, but cast and crew will be expected to purchase tickets if they wish to view the remaining shows in their own or other sessions.
Local accommodation is wide and varied and we anticipate that we will be in a position to assist with details for those seeking it. It may even be possible to arrange to billet those of you who prefer it.

Peridot Encouragement Award - $50.00
